Here are some important points that govern this process in Venezuela, according to the Organic Customs Law: – Goods must be declared before or no later than the fifth (5) working day following the date of entry into the country for imports, or of their entry into the storage area for exports. – Once the goods have been received, the person in charge of the customs warehouse or warehouse shall proceed to verify that the goods entered correspond to those declared and registered in the automated customs system. Likewise, it shall make the respective localization through the system, no later than the second working day of receipt of the goods. – When the goods are inspected outside the primary customs zone, the inspection report must indicate the time period for the shipment of the goods to customs, which may not exceed thirty (30) continuous days from the date of inspection. Depending on the item to be imported, different processes may change or be included that may also involve particular entities, but here we also share with you the most recurrent documents for the process of nationalizing your import: 1. Tariff Code for information of the applicable Legal Regime. 2. Certificate of Origin. 3. Invoice. 4. Sanitary Permits. 5. Transport Documents. 6. Import licenses.
