Common mistakes when exporting

For exporters, there are many things to take into consideration that might be overlooked. Here you will find 5 of the most common mistakes made when exporting.

  1. Not knowing if the product is restricted or prohibited in the Country of Destination.
  2. Failure to seek expert advice to develop an international marketing strategy and plan.
  3. Not knowing conditions for the sale of the product in the different distribution networks
  4. Packing List: The Exporter must issue this document and must include the following information: Exporter Data, Importer Data, Product Reference or Code, Quantity, Weight and Product Description, HS Code if any, W/M CBF/CBM
  5. SLI: It is a document issued by exporters and delivered to their freight forwarders with the rest of the documentation providing instructions for the management of their shipments.
