Relocation and the impact on the supply chain

We are in an extremely changing world, the word evolution must be present in our businesses in order to continue achieving the projected growth. Among these possible changes that can be generated, we find “relocation”, a term that refers to the transfer of production and operations of a company from one country to another. This process may involve changes in suppliers, partners and logistics operators.

One of the factors that brought difficulties in the flow of supplies was the pandemic, where countries applied blockades and therefore the markets began to move, according to some statistics it is indicated that the number of companies that moved their production tripled with respect to the year 2021.

Among the advantages of relocation is the reduction of dependence on major powers, cost reduction, and a reduction of the carbon footprint associated with long-distance cargo transportation.
