Tariff Relief and Sustainability

Currently we hear a lot the term “sustainable”, when we talk about the economy depends largely on decision making at the financial, social and even environmental level, in order to increase the welfare and quality of life of the population, this includes maintaining recommended levels of internal productivity, so it is important to have or allow the entry of supplies to ensure continuous production, with minimal negative impact on the environment.

Tariff relief plays an important role, since it is the progressive elimination of customs duties on a temporary line for goods considered originating, which are negotiated within the Free Trade Agreements or Partial Scope Agreements, with the purpose of taking care of the production of products such as textiles, which contribute to the welfare of the national industry.

This tariff relief is carried out under a gradual tariff scheme, called tariff relief terms, with different tariff reduction rates. This rate will depend on the general import and export tariffs of each country, even exempting goods or products in their entirety due to their importance in the country’s economic strategy.
